How To Use The Yield Rate Calculator Excel Template ?
You can download and use this HR Metric calculator excel template. The Yield Rate Calculator consists of 2 sections:
- Yield Rate (Single Job Post, Single Stage)
- Yield Rate (Multiple Job Posts, Multiple Stages)
1. Yield Rate (Sing Job Post, Single Stage)
In this section, you can calculate the yield rate for a single post for a single stage. For calculating it you need to enter just two details; No. of Candidates at the end of the Stage and No. of Candidates at the beginning of the Stage.
Say for example you are evaluating the yield rate for the screening process. You received around 150 CVS of candidates, out of which that passed the screening process was only 52.
Thus, by applying the formula given above, you can calculate the yield rate for this screening process. 52/150 = 34.67 %. This means that approximately 1/3rd of the CV was useful out of a total of 150 applications.
2. Yield Rate (Multiple Job Posts, Multiple Stages)
Recruiting ratios are high in big companies. There are multiple openings and multiple stages of recruitment starting from screening, interviewing, offering and hiring, etc. Some companies might also have assignments before hiring.
You can write the name of the source of recruitment if you have done any contract will outsourcing/recruitment agencies.
This section of the template helps you calculate the yield rate for multiple job posts at multiple stages of recruitment. I have given the yield rate for screening, Interviewing, Offering, and Hiring processes.
Here also the same formula has been applied. But the only change is that the numbers changes according to the stages. The start of the previous stage is the end of the preceding stage.
